    hey joanna
    i’m 24 yrs, height 5’4″, weight 52kg. i workout 3days a week (intense stuff &yoga). i got some muscles on arms & legs which i love.
    my problem is that i’m slim EVERYWHERE but tummy. i have a huge tummy (not bloated, its fat) :’(
    i’ve been eating healthy all these times but because of that problem i thought of experimenting so i tried cutting down carbs & increasing protein & fat intake. i lost 1& half inches from tummy in a week but i was lacking energy& craving sweets.
    help :(

    Hey, thanks alot for your thoughts! They are many opinions, research and methods out there which do work. This is one method that I know that helps but I do believe that everyone has to find a method that fits them and that is realistic to their lifestyle, which will help make their goal more achievable. =)

    Nice Video! although you had some information wrong. When u consume little to no carbohydrates your body goes into ketosis which actually BURNS fat, not stores it. thats why low carb diets became so popular. but that can obviously be very dangerous! carbs are important! second, eating every couple hours is not necessary. everybody is different. it doesnt matter if u eat 7 times a day or 3 times, as long as youre consuming your macros for the day you will still reach your goals!

    Really great tips – I find that most people have trouble with eating every 3-4 hours, it can be difficult with a busy schedule. But this step is crucial in obtaining weight loss.

    According to nutritionist(s) — you’re actually not supposed to mix proteins and starches, because it makes digestion more difficult. (no: meat and potatoes…delicious? maybe…hard on your digestive system…reportedly so.)

    Actually, you’re not supposed to eat fruit late in the day / at night…and you’re def. not supposed to eat it after a meal (messes with digestion) and food combinations (poor food combining) is also another issue to be considered. ;) Nice vid.

    Hi Matty, yes it’s fine. At the end of the day, we have to find a workout / meal plan that fits our schedule in order for us to stick by it. Just check that you keep our body fuel through the day (not in hunger) and eat in moderation because most people tend to eat large portions if they only eat 3 times daily. All the best! =)

    Hi, good carbs are your fruits, vege, any unprocessed / whole grains, nuts, unsweetened dairy products etc. Bad carbs are any refined food – Refined grains like white bread, white rice, cake, candy, cookies and chips, sweetened soft drinks etc. Get your lean protein from chicken breasts, fish, eggs, they are the best. You want to go for your healthy fat like avocado, olive oil, nuts, fish. Milk is fine but for losing weight, reduce your intake. Do watch my other videos which will help you =)

    very good video thanks what you say makes so much sense. Lots of people say to avoid carbs you’re the first person to say to eat some. what is good carbs. I always get confused with apples and fruit, I know some fruits have bad carbs in them too. I try to eat a banana every day for the potassium and I take multivitamins so I don’t miss out on something that I might need. It’s hard finding protein without fat. How much fat is supposed to eat in a day?also, is milk bad to lose weight or good??

    Hi! So, I’ve been changing the way I eat, for example I stopped drinking soda, I’ve been drinking more water, I’ve tried to stop eating really unhealthy foods, and I exercise, but since I’m still in my senior year if high school, I can’t really eat 5 times a day, is it ok to eat 3 normal sized meals instead of 5-6 small meals?     Hi Asel, starving yourself is definitely a no no. It won’t help with weight loss neither with your studies. It’s worth taking the time to watch my other videos on my channel for some smart and healthy snack ideas and easy meals to prepare to keep you satisfied. And why would you avoid eating bananas or grapes? They are good for you. Banana keeps you satisfied, at the same time it’s low in cals and has lots of health benefits. It’s one of my favourite emergency hunger snack. =)

    Hi Ana, pack on the best quality of food! Reduce or avoid refine carbs like white rice, white bread, pasta, potatoes. Choose good carbs, like lots of leafy veggies, fruits, wholegrain bread, pasta, brown rice, soba noodles etc. Pack on more lean protein – fish, chicken eggs. These changes will make a huge difference to your energy level and weight. =)

    Hi Joanna, could you explain what exactly to eat. For example, I avoid eating bananas ,grapes,bread, all fried and oily things. I’m studying at university, starting from monday to thursday I can’t eat that often and eat proper meals. I started thingking I’d rather starve than to eat something unhealthy. My studying starts at 9 am and till 7pm I’m busy. So, could you give me some tip ?

    Hi Thaely, in your case, adjust the food portion accordingly. So make sure that you have a protein packed breakfast with carbs to keep your energy level high and to keep you out of hunger till your break at 11.20am. Have eggs, oatmeal for breakfast will be good. The key is not to allow your body to go hungry for a long period of time. =)

    Hi Joanna, im 14 years old and im on high school, so you said that we have to eat every 3 to 4 hours, so my school starts at 7:20 am to 2:20 pm and sometimes i have second lunch 11: 20 am and sometimes third 12: 12 pm i cannot eat in class and i eat my breakfas at 6: 50 am so what should i do? Do you understand what im saying!
