Sometimes when starting a weight loss program it may seem like you have reasons for not wanting to take your picture. The biggest reason would be the fact you may not exactly like the way you look right now, but that is actually the number one reason to take a before photo.
So reason number one for taking a before photo is to keep a picture of how you look and help you strive to get where you want to look and remind you of why you should change your eating habits.
Sometimes a photograph can be a reality check. I didn’t realize how big I had become til I actually saw a picture of myself with my family in a Christmas photo. I didn’t even recognize myself. I asked myself is that really me and oh my god, why didn’t anyone tell me I had become ginormous.
Reason number two for taking a before photo is to have a memory of where you used to be and congratulate yourself for losing that extra weight in your after photo.
Reason number three for taking a before photo is sometimes it maybe hard to judge when you lose 10, 15, or 25 pounds. You may not remember what you looked like ten pounds ago and you can’t really see the improvements without a before picture for a small amount of weight loss such as ten or fifteen pounds.
Reason number 4 for taking a before photo is that it will motivate you to eat right, burn calories, and get the best body you have been dreaming about.
Reason number 5 for taking a before photo is to see where exactly you really are in weight loss and goals.
Before photos can help measure our progress in our weight loss journey. It is a reminder of our present or past selves and we can often look back and see the success or strive for more success.
So whatever weightloss or fitness program you are going to engage in, take some before pictures so that you can measure your progress, see where you really stand and where you ‘d like to go and reflect on your weight loss accomplishments.
